Breakup Breakdown began with a breakup and a song called Kali. Written, performed, arranged and produced by Devin Oxman, the eleven-song album moves freely between modern country, alt rock and Celtic fiddle.

Those songs became the foundation for Devin and the Deep Blue Sea, a four-piece live band now working toward the upcoming Zero Sum. The new material moves into a harder mix of alternative rock and electronic textures. It’s a broader, heavier direction that keeps the songwriting at the centre.
